Nonprofit Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center hired Stevens & Associates to study the feasibility of renovating their existing facility (a historic barn and house) or providing a new facility. S&A also studied improvements to the campus as a whole, and provided a report with conceptual plans and preliminary cost information.
The conceptual plan proposes replacing the existing office building with a new one with high levels of environmental performance. The siting of the building would allow for southern exposure (good for passive and active solar strategies). The new building would house offices, meeting space, and educational spaces.
Expanded parking on the site near the core of the campus, with improved access and way-finding at the entrance was also proposed. Sewer and water systems would need updating.
