Architectural Staff (Level I)
S&A has a robust pipeline of exciting and varied projects across Vermont and the greater New England region. To support this work, we are recruiting for qualified and experienced Architectural Staff members with a passion for design, collaboration, and community to join our growing team.
Each position reports to the Project Architects who work under the supervision and direction of the Architectural Team Leader. The ideal candidates can perform a variety of assignments requiring fundamental skills in all aspects of architectural design, documentation, and construction administration. These team members will work collaboratively with others to develop and execute the design through BIM models, drawings and construction documents, collaborate and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors, and assist the team in responding to construction phase submittals and overseeing the progress of construction.

This position is full time and requires an organized individual with excellent communication skills to manage the structural projects and the support staff of an active and growing firm. Job requirements include:
- Management and Design of residential, commercial and institutional buildings.
- Oversee structural support staff including associate engineers and structural technician.
- Conduct weekly production/project staff meetings.
- Support principals of company with complete and accurate project updates weekly.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and the S&A staff.
- BSCE required.
- Professional registration.
- 6+ years of structural experience.
- Knowledge of wood framed structures, steel, concrete, masonry and seismic building design required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
