Stevens & Associates provided a conceptual design for a proposed traditional neighborhood development (TND) on Round Lake Road in Ballston, New York. A mix of housing types combined with community buildings and open spaces characterizes the plan and is representative of Stevens & Associates’ neighborhood design philosophy.
The homes in the Round Lake Road community are oriented toward streets and open spaces. Parking on streets and behind single-family and multifamily homes creates a pedestrian focus. For larger buildings, which house apartments and live/work units, parking lots are provided. A small amount of commercial space would house a daycare, retail, and office space in addition to the live/work units provided.
