Boulder Ridge is a luxury townhome development located in West Dover, Vermont. Stevens & Associates carefully sited this 50 unit condominium development near Mount Snow ski resort to maximize its housing potential while minimizing negative impacts on local black bear habitat, wetlands, and natural areas.
Stevens & Associates provided the client with a feasibility study, site design, local permitting, and state environmental permitting, including Act 250, stormwater, erosion control and water supply permits.
In addition to important natural resources, the parcel also contained steep slopes, water source and access challenges. Condensing the development to 12 acres within the total 25 acres parcel required creative and compact layout solutions, and the extensive use of retaining walls. Design features also included a fire pond, stormwater detention basin and subsurface stormwater treatment.
