S&A principal Brud Sanderson is a civil and structural engineer. He possesses a strong knowledge of structural design, environmental and civil engineering, and construction administration. Brud’s experience includes site planning, roadway design, sewer and water system design, and drainage and grading design. His recent projects have included everything from site design of multifamily, affordable housing developments and a high-tech industrial business campus, to construction review for a mountain resort. Brud also performs structural assessments of historic buildings and has been involved in the renovation of several buildings damaged by fire.
Benjamin Harwood, PE, SE
Project Engineer
Ben’s enthusiasm for structural engineering is inspired by his early exposure to the construction trades. He graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His experience includes renovations of historic structures, structural assessments of existing buildings, stabilization of historic facades, as well as numerous new construction projects ranging in scale from residential and multi-family, to light-commercial and industrial buildings.
Erin Fajans, PE
Professional Engineer
Erin Fajans earned a Master of Civil Engineering Degree from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Vermont Technical College. In addition, Erin was the recipient of the Vermont Technical College Student of the Year and Architectural Engineering Technician of the Year awards. Her previous experience as a mechanical designer and structural engineer included analyzing existing structural framing systems, new platform and foundation designs, as well as modifications to repurpose existing warehouses within the food processing industry. She is currently focusing her efforts on the structural design of commercial and residential projects, and looks forward to applying her experience in commercial construction to her interest of historic preservation and reuse projects within downtown communities.
