Principal – Structural Team Leader
Cory has over 18 years of experience leading teams and multidisciplinary projects. His experience includes multifamily & residential housing, multi-story commercial and municipal buildings, and parking garages. As a project manager and principal at Stevens & Associates, Cory directs the structural team.
Hamilton Hodgman, PE
Hamilton (Ham) Hodgman has worked as a civil engineer in Vermont, North Carolina, and South Carolina for over a decade. His work has included schematic design, design development, state and local permitting, and construction phases for residential and commercial construction. He is well-versed in public presentations and client relations. In addition to his civil engineering and design work, Ham has extensive experience providing construction services, including technical review, geotechnical engineering, inspections, and materials testing on projects for industrial, institutional, and commercial facilities clients.
Benjamin Harwood, PE
Ben’s enthusiasm for structural engineering is inspired by his early exposure to the construction trades. He graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. His experience includes renovations of historic structures, structural assessments of existing buildings, stabilization of historic facades, as well as numerous new construction projects ranging in scale from residential and multi-family, to light-commercial and industrial buildings.
Erin Fajans, EI
Erin Fajans has returned to her native southern Vermont to continue her career as an engineer. She received a Master of Civil Engineering Degree from Norwich University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology from Vermont Technical College. In addition, Erin was the recipient of the Vermont Technical College Student of the Year and Architectural Engineering Technician of the Year awards. Her previous experience as a mechanical designer and structural engineer included analyzing existing structural framing systems, new platform and foundation designs, as well as modifications to repurpose existing warehouses within the food processing industry. She is currently focusing her efforts on the structural design of commercial and residential projects, and looks forward to applying her experience in commercial construction to her interest of historic preservation and reuse projects within downtown communities.
Structural Engineering Technician
Michael Becker brings with him over 18 years of professional experience including 7 years of structural drafting and design of numerous building types ranging from hospitals, schools, and water treatment plants. His extensive knowledge includes new building projects, as well as renovation and restoration. Before joining S&A, Michael has worked throughout New England, New York and Florida. Most recently he organized drafting services for an architectural millwork company producing furniture, cabinetry, doors, and paneling systems to clients in the Greater Boston area including MIT, Keuring, The Clark Art Institute, and Williams College.
