Stevens & Associates provided structural engineering services for the Union Chandler Building Façade project in Springfield, MA. This building is a historic four floor brick masonry structure. The project required demolishing the building while retaining the façade to be re-attached to a new structure. Stevens & Associates designed the stabilization and demolition around the façade. Subsequent work included designing historically appropriate storefronts and windows to be replaced once the new building is constructed.
