• Livable Communities

    What Stevens & Associates calls a livable community goes by many names: traditional neighborhood design, new urban development, smart growth community, and others.

    For us, a livable community is one in which residents live and work in close proximity, have easy access to resources and amenities, and have access to multiple transportation options. Wide sidewalks, pedestrian pathways, and plenty of open space keep higher density neighborhoods from feeling claustrophobic, and allow for community interaction.

    We believe that making livable communities requires three things:
