The Kaiser Mill Redevelopment – Bristol, RI

Three distinct phases of renovations utilized eleven former mill buildings (225,000 s.f.) for the offices of the Department of Children Youth & Families, for an office incubator, and for light manufacturing and warehousing facilities. Our client, Mosaico Community Development Group targeted this “Enterprise Zone” site for redevelopment and jobs creation.  In addition to providing design for the Kaiser Mill redevelopment, we also assisted with the market feasibility study, and in obtaining a Community Development Block Grant.  Federal and state historic tax credits aided in funding.  The office portion of the project fronts onto the street and neighborhood, while the light manufacturing businesses forming Bristol Industrial Park, front onto interior courtyards.
